Month End Safety Save Procedure

At month end, make sure you run your SAFETY SAVE before your month end close.

Even if you are Auto Night, you should run this SAFETY SAVE before you leave.

From the Master Menu:

Nighttime Processing>Save User Accounts

1. Once the Safety Save is completed, go to your server.
2. Access Windows Explorer
3. MvBase Users Go to the MvData folder ( This is the folder where all file saves and SAFETY SAVES are stored) Universe Users go to Polaris\backups folder. ( This is the folder where all file saves and SAFETY SAVES are stored)
4. Rename the file "safetysave.VTF" to current date.vtf (202003.vtf). Do this by right clicking on the file and clicking "rename". Doing this means that the March data will not get overwritten next month.

**PLEASE DO THIS EVERY MONTH SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RESTORE ANY MONTHS DATA.
