Security Agent Shows Offline

If the Trend Security Agent located in your task bar is showing offline when you hover over it please do the following:

  1. Unload the Security Agent:

    • Right-click the Security Agent icon on your Windows system tray.
    • Click Exit Security Agent
  2. Reload the Security Agent:

    • Click Start
    • Scroll to find Trend Micro Security Agent
    • Select Security Agent
  3. Hover over the Security agent to check to see if status is online. If it is online right click and select update now.

If the agent is still not online you will need to uninstall and reinstall the agent.
